Our particular area of South Georgian Bay is truly a four season destination gem. When the weather is fine, the options to enjoy the outdoors is almost endless. There are 35 Bruce Trail day hikes in the South Georgian Bay area. Ranging in levels of difficulty, the trails offer unique hiking experiences and some are just minutes from Heathcote Haven.
The Georgian Trail stretches from Collingwood to Meaford. Thornbury is a great mid-point of the trail as you can head east of west, along Georgian Bay. It is mostly flat so is great for cycling as well.
Cycling is becoming very popular in this area. The paved, scenic roads and trails are almost endless. Each year, in September, the Centurion Race draws racing cyclists from all over North America.
